The Weight of Us {Tarzan/Ariel; Disney Crossover}
The red haired beauty was in a panic as she ran away from the pack of angry baboons. This wasn’t the first deathly situation she’d been in but it was the first where she was being chased by animals. As she was Natasha made the mistake of looking back, meaning she wasn’t looking ahead and missed the fact that soon she’d have nowhere to run.Her head turned forward, in time for them to widen and then suddenly she was flying in the air. A small gasp escaped her lips as she frantically moved her head around trying to figure out how the hell she was flying. Once she let her senses catch up with her thought process she realized that an arm was wrapped around her waist.
Natasha looked up to see a barely clothed man holding her with one arm while the other arm was using a vine to swing. “What the-” she stopped in mid-sentence when she heard a shriek. The baboons were still trailing behind them.
Relief washed over the male’s toned figure, pooling down his robust frame, as he shot a glance down to the creature he held. Upon witnessing its’ appearance, a tawny shade was perked, as beige tendrils flailed wildly around his apex from the blasting wind. The first abnormality was whatever he held within his coarse grip, feeling the strange material between callous extremities. It was soft, yet some form of scratchy surface that remained attached to whatever the object was. Could he even call it a shell? Skin? Whatever it was, it was certainly not from the jungle.
And then there was the creature itself.
The male could see the the streaks of scarlet flowing from her head, crowning at the summit of its’ head, loose strands splaying out on the side of the cheeks. The only animals to have such coats or hair were bright and colorful birds that soared high above the canopies. And then, there was the strange complexion it wore, resembling something of the shimmering flakes that were coated on the shores of the jungle’s beach. No such being was pale or lacked such a bountiful amount of hair, inside the jungle.
Well, except himself, and this was as a toddler.
But Tarzan soon concluded that there would be a more suitable time to advance upon these curiosities, and instead inclined his crest back to the streaking greenery around him. The soaring set his meadow-gleamed-sights to the canopies above, involuntarily tightening amber digits around the material between his fingers. The man released his grip on the current vine, and swung onto another one, propelling all his combined weight onto the plant, as it pushed them upwards into the shrubbery above.
A sudden shriek nearly shattered his concentration, realizing that this abrupt screech came from a baboon, resonating from the creature’s feet below as they swung higher into the fir-encompassed scene above. There was little he could do to aid her, and only hoped that this figure knew how to fight off such a pesky primate.
Moments of accelerating to the blue firmaments above passed quickly, and the hairless ape busted through the emerald foliage that encompassed the vegetation above him. Leaves and twigs broke through the impact, and the male released the vine upon coming through, sending himself soaring through the air towards a sturdy trunk, coated in moss.
He released the creature in his arm, pushing it high above his own velocity, as he aimed to land upon the bark-limb. The moment his appendages connected with the tufted surface, he threw his glance to the heavens above, locking emerald casts to the red-head’s descending figure. The male opened his toned limbs, ready to catch whomever this was into his grip once more.
Ariel smiled softly, biting her lips. He was impressive enough a figure to be slightly intimidating to the rest of the girls and they all looked slightly shocked. Ariel blinked once, mouthed a ‘thank you’ to him. “This Is Tarzan.” She said. “We’re - well. I don’t know what we are. I guess, like, dating?” Ariel blinked. “He’s why I stole the trident. I had to come to you guys, first of all, and he couldn’t really…I guess, he spoke another language.” Ariel looked around at the slack jawed expressions of her sisters until Aquata swum over.“Ariel,” she whispered. She couldn’t tear her eyes off of him. “He’s hot.” a flurry of bubbles flew from the red head’s nose and she nodded intensely. “I know.” She looked to the rest of her sisters. “Please don’t tell daddy. As far as Daddy knows, Tarzan has and always will be a merman. If Daddy ever found out he was human…I don’t know what he would do.” She looked down at her fins.
Hot?
Strange, no such sensation was felt. If anything, the man felt cold, but wasn’t that a bit redundant?
Tarzan merely flickered orbs of a piercing color lo and between the girls, discerning their astonished expressions, and drinking in just how shocked they were. Was it such a revelation to find that Ariel had fallen in love? Or at least, something akin to the emotion? He wondered if perhaps this was because no other mate had interested her, or the other way around. Either way, his tail flicked around involuntarily in mild irritation, finding that anyone who would be paired with the red-head would be entirely blessed to have her.
—As I am. Always.
“…Maybe we should tell him.” He spoke, uncertainty laced within the bold statement, as he swam over to his lover, bubbles appearing in his wake. A hand was placed on the girl’s shoulder, pressing coarse digits along her shoulder blade, a token of concern berating his gentle demeanor. “Shouldn’t he know the truth?”

“Every gesture, every move that she makes, makes me feel like never before. Why do I have this growing need to be beside her?”
in the jungle we don’t say “i love you” we say “ooh ooh eeh eh hoo” which basically translates to “jane stays with tarzan” and i think that’s so beautiful
